State Ambassador: Deborah Skolaski

Deborah Skolaski is a Senior Legal Analyst with extensive experience supporting complex litigation and regulatory matters. She is also an award‑winning rare disease advocate and was honored by the National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD) with a 2019 Rare Impact Award for her leadership and policy advocacy on behalf of the rare disease community. As a volunteer Texas State Ambassador for NORD’s Rare Action Network, she has worked to advance legislative efforts related to newborn screening, Medicaid managed care, and step therapy reform in Texas. Deborah brings a unique perspective at the intersection of law, policy, and patient advocacy, informed by both professional expertise and personal commitment.
