State Ambassador: David D'Onofrio
David D’Onofrio is a biomedical science Ph.D. student at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai studying bioinformatics, artificial intelligence, and rare diseases. His passion for rare disease advocacy started through his work at the NIH Undiagnosed Diseases Program, where he did bioinformatics work and met families being helped through the program. He is originally from Teaneck, NJ, and enjoys cooking new recipes every week, playing spikeball in Central Park, and hiking along the Appalachian trail.
