State Ambassador: Alexis "Alex" Cran
Alex Cran is a Minnesota-based advocate, child welfare professional, and rare disease champion committed to amplifying the voices of patients and families navigating the complexities of rare conditions. As Minnesota's NORD Ambassador, Alex brings a uniquely multidisciplinary perspective to rare disease advocacy — drawing on her work as a Guardian ad Litem in Minnesota courts, where she fights for the rights and wellbeing of vulnerable children, and as a Certified Nursing Assistant, where she witnesses firsthand the gaps and challenges within our healthcare system. Through her consulting work, Alexis merges her advocacy experience with her passion for building meaningful community partnerships, with a long-term vision of ensuring that rare disease patients in Minnesota are seen, supported, and never alone in their journey.
